Optima Košice Shopping center is one of the busiest places in the city. Therefore, the implementation of the extension was subordinated to the demanding safety requirements designed to protect the center’s customers. The construction is based on drilled piles and a massive gravel bedding that had to be realized because of the heterogenous soil base.
The framework of the construction is made of steel skeleton. Subsequently, a roof was constructed with a massive skylight above the commercial passage and a folded external cladding with mineral wool insulation. The subject of supply was also complete internal installations – heating, air conditioning, electric and water installation, fire signaling and low-voltage distribution. The interior of the construction consisted of the business premises of individual tenants and a common commercial passage. The exterior facade is built as a modern aluminum construction with a large proportion of glazed parts. At the same time, a new lighting center logo was installed.
